A Conservative Thanksgiving Dinner!

I hope everyone's giving-thanks dinner came out as well as ours did!

This is our 16 pound conservative Thanksgiving turkey!
It was marvellllllooouuussssss!
Moist and juicy, the skin crisp.....came out the best!

Why 'conservative' turkey?

'cause the liberal turkey was at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue....

Cranberry sauce....had orange juice,and just the right blend....just a little tart.

Brussel sprouts.....had mint in it, too.

Kimchee.....had to make it a little bit Korean

Marshmallow covered sweet potatoes!!!!
OMG!!!!

This was to die for!

Had some crushed pineapple in it, too.

Up close and personal with the marshmallow sweet potatoes!

Cornbread stuffing with bacon, and apple......pecans, too.

The pumpkin pie was a big hit!

Yep......pecan pie!

Unbelievable!!!!

Should come with a lifetime membership to Planet Fitness.


Lots of work.....but It was an amazing success....

Left everyone in such a good mood that there was hardly a fistfight over politics!

Best to everyone,and now......onward to Christmas!!!

Update:
It was suggested that I add the fact that I had sliced an orange and cooked it inside of the bird.....
...kept it moist and some said they could taste an orange flavor.

Some may wish to try that next year.

Asparagus with Hollandaise sauce
Sweet potato with marshmallows
Brussels sprouts in parmesan cream sauce
Baby peas
Scalloped potatoes au gratin
Pumpkin pie and cannoli cake.

It came out pretty good.
