Glad to see its not all long late or early hours and lightning quick reflexes.
Seeing all the friendly smiling faces, fun, frolic and festivities its hard to imagine the scenes that occurred on the continent 69 years ago such as the one described by one P-47 pilot as he watched his buddy crash land returning from a sortie then seeing his buddy's head rolling down the runway as he ran out to the crash site.
We're playing guess the airport here, though.
