92 Percent of the people that lost their jobs since 09 were women

January 2009: 133,561,000

March 2012: 132,821,000

Net loss: 740,000 jobs.

* Total Female Nonfarm Payroll Jobs

January 2009: 66,122,000

March 2012: 65,439,000

Net loss: 683,000 jobs.

Obama's contraceptive bs was not at all truthful and he gained about 12 to 14 pts from women off of it. I'm glad Romney fired this statistical reality back.

Ahem....

By comparing job figures with January 2009 and March 2012 and weighing them against women’s job figures from the same periods, Saul came up with 92.3 percent. The numbers are accurate but quite misleading.

First, Obama cannot be held entirely accountable for the employment picture on the day he took office, just as he could not be given credit if times had been booming. Second, by choosing figures from January 2009, months into the recession, the statement ignored the millions of jobs lost before then, when most of the job loss fell on men. In every recession, men are the first to take the hit, followed by women. It's a historical pattern, Stevenson told us, not an effect of Obama's policies.

Obama picked this fight. He's the one that made it about Republicans supposedly hating women. He's frankly that stupid that he would make that fight while having those types of numbers. I've said it all along, he is that freaking incompetent.

Those numbers are laughably absurd, and wrong.

This the Karl Rove strategy at work again...

...try to accuse your opponent of something your own side is getting hammered on, no matter how absurd the accusation is.

They all happened on Obama's watch. The left's weak argument is that you can't start from day 1 of Obama's presidency. When can you start? No matter how you slice it, women have been the ones losing way more jobs during Obama's presidency.

"The National Women’s Law Center notes that while the recession was devastating for American working women, who continued to lose jobs at the beginning of the recovery, the vast majority of jobs lost by women were positions in the public sector, an area targeted by Republican budget cuts and austerity measures."

That's highly ironic for a guy that has tried to demonize the GOP as woman haters while painting himself as a women's rights crusader as he panders for votes. I hope women see this and they realize now that he's been playing games all along. He's the hit it then quit it president. That's all there is to it.

It's not even true. I just proved it wasn't true in 2009.

TheGreatGatsby does appear somewhat confused.

Women know where they stand with Obama. Hey I'll let you kill your baby while it's still breathing; but don't be coming to me for money bitch.

Why does he hate on women so?

Is it a Muslim thing he learned in his Indonesian madrassa?

Obamafuck only comes from a culture that buries woman up to their neck then allows men to throw rocks at the womans head in order to kill them.

I love how leftists defend Islam but will turn around and claim republicans have a war on woman?

You see, your problem is that you think Obama is a Muslim; but he is a Christian. I suggest you try telling the truth, instead of lying, then you might be less of a dumb ass.

Fox & Friends Hosts Tongue-Tied Defending Romney Claim That 92% Of Job Losses Have Been Among Women | Mediaite

“92 percent of the – of the people who have lost jobs on Barack Obama’s watch have been women,” Steve Doocy asked betraying his level of shock upon returning from the clip.

“Big seems…” said Gretchen Carlson.

“Impossible,” responded fill-in host Eric Bolling. “Impossible,” Carlson agreed.

The hosts were slightly confounded by Romney’s statement. Bolling conceded that Romney “may have misspoken a little bit,” while Doocy provided a talking point out of the Republican National Committee saying that the real ‘war on women’ has been these joblessness numbers – suggesting that the RNC is sticking by Romney’s assertion.
Could politics possibly BE more-amusing.....

Georgia Republicans wrote a law prohibiting abortion after 20 weeks with the only exception being for the health of the mother. If your fetus has no brain and will die within a few hours of birth - you'll be required by law to carry it, or you'll be criminally punished.

But just remember its the left that hates women.

Oh boo f'ing hoo. Twenty weeks isn't enough to figure out whether you want to kill your baby or not. Get over yourself.

Please, oh please...tell me you have something, ANYTHING to back up your claim that "Obama wants women to be unemployed". I'll wait...

“One could reasonably argue that January 2009 employment figures are more a result of President George W. Bush’s policies, at least as far as any president can be blamed or credited for private-sector hiring,” Politifact wrote. “We reached out to Gary Steinberg, spokesman for the BLS, for his take on the claim. He pointed out that women’s job losses are high for that period of time because millions of men had already lost their jobs. Women were next. … f you count all those jobs lost beginning in 2007, women account for just 39.7 percent of the total. … There is a small amount of truth to the claim, but it ignores critical facts that would give a different impression.”

So, Romney has resorted to flat out lies ALREADY? Hell, the general election hasn't even begun yet?

If that's the truth, then why is it that the people showing up at the unemployment offices here in Amarillo are 90 percent MEN?

So Obama is responsible for losing 200,000 jobs in his first month in office?

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com)
Last Updated: January 30, 2009: 11:47 AM ET
The final week of January began with a bloodbath for the job market, as over 65,400 more cuts were announced on Monday alone.

At least six companies from manufacturing and service industries announced cost-cutting initiatives that included slashing thousands of jobs.

About 200,000 job cuts have been announced so far this year, according to company reports. Nearly 2.6 million jobs were lost over 2008, the highest yearly job-loss total since 1945.

Bloody Monday: Over 65,400 jobs lost - Jan. 26, 2009

Yeah...the employment problem is ALL Obama's fault all right.
Perhaps you can point to the jobs bill that republicans signed on for to help with all those job losses? Oh....that's right...you were against the stimulus and the jobs it created weren't you?

The only way you CONZ can compete on this issue is by being disingenuous douchenozzles. It's allright. America is used to your spewing vinegar and lies.

LOL. It's no coincidence that the two worst economic years in the last 67 years have been on the two worst presidents watches. And 1945 is after FDR actually did produce "shovel ready jobs."

I know you rightwing nutjobs believe that obama is a socialist but can you explain how obama should be held responsbile for the "job creators" laying off women?
Where are your free market and personal responsibility beliefs now?
Face it, obama had NOTHING to do with those job losses and seeing as how even romney admits that obama didn't cause the recession o the blame lies elsewhere.

You are so fired up to attack obama that you fail to realize that the blame falls squarely on the very "job creators" you claim shouldn't be taxed at a higher rates so they can afford to create jobs that they more than likely got rid of to begin with.

You do realize that the romney campaign's argument is that obama's policies have been the reason for the numbers don't you?? So how could job losses that occured before any of his policies were enacted be the cause of those job losses??

This is the claim from your own article.

"Nearly 1 million [women] have become unemployed as a result of Obama's policies," she said during a conference call with reporters. "That's 92 percent of the jobs lost while Barack Obama has been president are jobs that women have lost."
