And yet another Evil Al Qaeder brought to justice by the TSA...

Another Elderly Womon Says She Was Exposed at Kennedy Airport.

Lenore Zimmerman, 85, was angry and embarrassed after what she claims was a strip search at Kennedy Airport Tuesday. Now another woman in her 80′s at the very same terminal says she was exposed one day before.

From her home in Sunrise, Florida, 88-year-old Ruth Sherman says she knows for a fact senior citizens are being violated at a screening checkpoint at JFK.

“I felt like I was invaded,” she told CBS 2′s Dave Carlin.

Sherman says week-long Thanksgiving holiday with family in New York ended with an ordeal that started when the screeners wanted to check the bulge from Sherman’s colostomy bag.

“This is private for me. It’s bad enough that I have it,” she said. “I had to pull from my sweatpants and I had to pull my underwear, my underwear down.”

“You don’t do that anybody,” she added. “I felt like I was invaded."

Mr grandmother was much like this lady.. More drama than what was necessary. How many 85 year old women exaggerate or have dementia? I'll vote for TSA standards anytime. Did she have a safe flight? Thank the TSA.

Next time she can take the bus.

My mother used to sob when she had her hair done in the beauty shop. She just didn't understand what was going on. Broke my heart when she had her hair done for her 50th wedding anniversary. Alzheimer's disease.

Wow,you sound just like the German Citizen Nazi-sympathizers did back in the day. Anything the Gestapo does is ok with you. Unfortunately there are way too many people just like you in this country. What a bleak future.

Is this how you would like to see your Mother or Grandmother treated. More Americans should really think about that more often.

WTG TSA! Got another Al Qaeder i see.

An 85-year-old Long Island grandmother says she plans to sue the TSA after a humiliating strip search on Tuesday by agents at JFK Airport.

Lenore Zimmerman, who lives in Long Beach, says she was on her way to a 1 p.m. flight to Fort Lauderdale when security whisked her to a private room and took off her clothes.

“I walk with a walker — I really look like a terrorist,” she said sarcastically. “I’m tiny. I weigh 110 pounds, 107 without clothes, and I was strip-searched.”

TSA spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein said a review of closed circuit TV footage from the airport shows “proper procedures were followed.”

But Zimmerman, whose hunched back puts her at 4-foot-11, said her ordeal began after her son, Bruce, drove her to the JetBlue terminal for the Florida flight. She lives in warm Coconut Creek during the winter.

She checked her bags, waited for a wheelchair and parted ways with her doting son — her only immediate relative.

When Zimmerman reached a security checkpoint, she asked if she could forgo the advanced image technology screening equipment, fearing it might interfere with her defibrillator.

She said she normally gets patted down. But this time, she says that two female agents escorted her to a private room and began to remove her clothes.

“I was outraged,” said Zimmerman, a retired receptionist.

As she tried to lift a lightweight walker off her lap, she says, the metal bars banged against her leg and blood trickled from a gash.

“My sock was soaked with blood,” she said. “I was bleeding like a pig.”

She says the TSA agents showed no sympathy, instead pulling down her pants and asking her to raise her arms.

I hardly see this as justification to judge the TSA itself.

I agree. People seldom blame bureaucrats. After all, they are 'just doing their job.'

I will say this. I have been through JFK twice. That is the most fragmented, disorganized place I have ever seen. It is a zoo. I will never set foot there again. I'm sure they had plenty of others they could have humiliated. They were just looking for an excuse.

You are wrong. A TSA agent is just that....an AGENT for the organization. Their front line person. He/she is acting on behalf of and under the auspices of the TSA. And the TSA rarely fails to stand behind their thugs.

If your looking to blow up a plane sucessfully

1. don't look like an Arab

2. don't look dangerous

I have no love for TSA but terrorists, especially of the Islamic variety, have proven repeatedly that they are willing to use whatever means they can to get the job done. Kids and old ladies are not off limits. How do you want to arrive at your destination? Alive or in a pine box? Nobodys above suspicion so let them do their job or don't fly.

So this 85 woman with a walker looked like an Arab and she looked 'dangerous.'
