An East Knox County woman has a few more weeks to try to save her home.

78-year-old Mary Cate Jones had been told she would be evicted at eight o'clock Wednesday morning after her home went into foreclosure, but a last minute change will give her four more weeks to fix the situation.

Jones says she took out a loan against the home several years ago and was making her payments, but got confused when the loan was sold to different companies over the years.

She says she didn't realize she was in danger of losing her home.

Jones admits she probably didn't know everything she should have about the loan before she signed it. Now she's just focused on staying in the home she's lived in for decades.

Well...any foreclosure's i've heard of takes A LOT longer than this. She had to have gotten calls, letters, something months before it would have been sold. I don't believe she didn't know..............

Not to worry....
The Republicans will be blamed for this.
