I don't think you will find any thinking Democrat that will not state that the internment of our citizens of Japanese ancestory was not a terrible mistake, and a crime. Just the same as our treatment of Native Americans. We cannot change that which has been done. I'd never compare the two actually. And it is part of the historical process to find the flaws in any nation's history, we are strengthened by examination. However, fabrication is not part of history.

Wrong. Hitler established HIS version of socialism. Mein Kampf was his answer to Communist Manifesto. Nazi Germany promoted the national community. That's socialist in every form. Marx said that before you can have communism you must tear down all vestiges of the old man and old society to create the "new man." Hitler had his own socialist views on the "new man."

Yes, FDR wasn't able to stop the Imperial army before the Rape of Nanking, or the Germans before the Holocaust; until the late 1930s, the US economy remained weak, with isloationists have a strong voice. That changed after Pearl Harbor.

FDR also could have helped to limited the attempted extermination of the Jews in Europe... He chose otherwise.

No evidence to support that recent claim, and that idea goes straight in the face of the anti-FDR crapola invented just 15-20 years ago, that somehow FDR knew Pearl Harbor would be bombed, and wanted an excuse to help destroy Hitler.

In reality of course, FDR fought the isolationists for several years with Lend-Lease, and other programs...FDR made it very clear whose side the US was on, throughtout the EARLY 30s and through the German Declaration of war.
