President Barack Obama said U.S. and coalition forces in Afghanistan will adopt a “support role” starting in the spring of 2013, to allow Afghan police and soldiers to take full responsibility of the country’s security, a nation where 2,053 American soldiers have died since the war started on Oct. 7, 2001. Seventy-two percent of those casualties occurred during Obama's first term. “And today we agreed, as Afghan forces take the lead and as President Karzai announces the final phase of the transition, coalition forces will move to a support role this spring,” Obama said Friday at the White House, alongside...

If Bush had not abandoned the war in Afghanistan to execute his blunder of a decision to invade Iraq, Afghanistan would have been resolved long before Obama took office

Obama could have concentrated on the economy instead of cleaning up two of Bush's messes

If true, could it be because Bush never finish the job in Afghanistan and instead manufactured lies to invade Iraq - which had nothing to do with 9/11?

Notice the explosion of troops after Obama takes office.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that more troops means more casualties.

So...what percentage of troops died in Iraq on Obama's watch?

Hmmm...

Obama messed up bigtime lying about pulling out of the wars.
Turns out he is bush III.

Obama: More troops now to Afghanistan

By VICTORIA MCGRANE | 7/20/08 11:13 AM EDT

Calling the situation in Afghanistan “precarious and urgent,” Barack Obama said Sunday that the U.S. can’t wait until January and a new president to put additional troops in the country.

Afghanistan needs to become “the central front in our battle against terrorism,” he said in an interview with CBS’s Lara Logan in Afghanistan this morning, aired on CBS’s "Face the Nation."

The presumptive Democratic nominee said he believes the United States needs to send at least two additional brigades to the country, a call he’s been making for a year.

“One of the biggest mistakes we made strategically after Sept. 11 was to fail to finish the job here,” Obama said in a dig at the Bush administration. “We got distracted by Iraq.”

Ahh maybe it was Iraq he promised to pull out of?
Or maybe it was earlier in the campaign?
In any case he is Bush III in regards to the wars.
