Did you not read the school's letter? They said they asked the kid about it, he didn't want to make anything of it. He said he wasn't hurt and that the kids had settled it themselves. What a concept, kids settling their own disputes rationally and intelligently. We adults should take a lesson. You can have a fight, but still walk away arm in arm as friends.

No you can't. You can have a fight and settle your aggression. You dont walk away friends. You do solve things unless one side decides they didnt have enough. What kind of dillusional world do you live in where to people beat the crap out of each other then walk away buddies?

I've been in a fight with a close friend. We fought tooth and nail but walked away friends.

In this case, the kids fought, and later were back playing together, this is very normal.

Problems solved or not, friends or not, the kids doing the beating should be suspended. It's pretty simple.


Otherwise you're just teaching the lesson that's its ok to beat the shit out someone so long as you can make them say you're both cool afterwards.
