Not really sure where you're going with this and, from the sparse information from the link, it's not clear where this took place.

She's gonna' say that the kids wouldn't have done that if they didn't have a gun, which is B.S. They'd have just used something else.

well, it begs a lot of questions... like where did they get the gun? where were their parents? do you think a 7 and 11 year old SHOULD have a gun, cause , you know, it's not like the 2nd amendment has an age limit...

and really, do you think a 7 and 11 year old walking up to you with a pocket knife (which they also shouldn't have) is the same as them having a gun?

Well, now that I look at it, it does say 'Portland'. Nothing about OR, but OK.

I'd need a LOT more data to make anything of this case.

Did you know it's illegal to have a loaded firearm in Portland?

So, you tell us all how this happened, even though it's illegal, K?

Only the government should have guns, just like in Mao's China and Stalin's Russia

The kids were a couple of bad apples to begin with..."After the boys were caught, officers returned the boys to their families, but the 11-year-old tried to escape his parentsÂ’ house, police said. Officers later caught him."
Police: Boys, 7 and 11, attempt robbery with gun - News - Boston.com

They are a couple of sociopaths, regardless of age, who got together and decided to disregard the rights of others.

-of course kids should have pocket knives they are useful tools and can even save a life ..a draw string from my daughters jacket got caught in a little space as she went down the slide and it was choking her and she was purple my son who was about 9 or 10 at the time whipped out his pocket knife before I could even get to her a cut the string and down the slide she went.. people need to tech their children to use their heads not keep pocket knives from them ..we will get a generation of kids that cant handle anything and never grow up
