Beyond a certain depth, N2 is a poison. Ask any diver. O2 at high concentration and pressure is also bad news, as we found out during the Apollo program.

CO2 is neccessary to keep our oceans from freezing nearly down to the equator. But salt is also neccessary for you to keep living. Now, since we have estblished salt as neccessary, here is a quart of it, go ahead and eat it all.

CO2 and the other GHGs retain the heat that would otherwise be radiated off into space. When that heat is retained, it warms the oceans, atmosphere, and melts the ice in glaciers and icecaps. It also changes the circulation pattern of the atmosphere, and the patterns of the precipitation. And therein lies the immediate danger. Our present population of nearly 7 billion is dependent on the agriculture that is dependent on stable weather.

The heat we are creating in the atmosphere by adding and additional 40% of CO2 and an additional 150% of CH4, as well as assorted and sundry other industrial chemicals that are GHGs, is changing the climate. And endangering our agriculteral base.
