To the liberal mindset anything they perceive as good came from liberals anything bad conservatives.

I guess what they are doing is either saying something like the EPA and the first Clean Water Act were passed by the liberal Nixon. So they are making claim to Nixon.

Or that Lincoln was a liberal because he fought to preserve the Union. I mean that is what the left always says, the civil war was about preserving the Union and not Slavery.

Or that Kenndy was anywhere near where liberals are today when he said, " Ask not what your country can do for YOU but ask what you can do for for you country."
