More states are joining Michigan in a club none of them wanted to join.

Seven states have unemployment rates in double digits as of February, up from four in January.

The rates for North Carolina and Rhode Island were record highs.

The U.S. unemployment rate, released earlier this month, rose to 8.1% in February, the highest in more than 25 years. Economists predict the national jobless rate will hit 10% by year's end.

I am surprised to see NC on the list. I thought Raleigh was a fast growing job center. I knew Vegas and Reno were struggling, so nevada doesn't surprise me as much.

The Federal Government. When all is said and done, Obama will add at least 500,000 new Federal jobs. And I believe Obama also said that he would either create jobs (translation: government jobs) or SAVE private sector jobs. Therefore, he never really promised that the government would help create jobs in the private sector.
