56 people shot in Chicago over Memorial Day Weekend

Seriously, when is it going to stop? I'm so tired already of all those revolts and daily shootings. Why can't we just all live in peace?

Well part of it has to do with the war on drugs that has created a black market. When disputes arise, they can't go to the courts for a remedy so they shoot and kill people.

But also, if Republicans didn't promote the "race to the bottom" mentality that shipped good jobs overseas and left poor people, who are mostly black, with little options to make money and survive. So then the black market dealings become tempting and they go do it.

Which plays right into the hands of racist republicans and cops. Then they can paint all black people as criminals and thugs but never call biker gangs thugs. And people say racism is dead lolololol

Republicans aren't racist....the democrats are...their entire party is filled with racists..la raza, the NAACP, the Nation of Islam, jesse jackson, al sharpton, jeremiah write, and you elected a racist President barak obama who attended a racist church for 20 years, was married by the racist pastor and had his children baptized by the racist pastor, and you had robert byrd....and actual member of the kkk as your "Elder Statesman" in the Senate...not to mention that bill clinton, the serial sexual predator, had as a political mentor j. william fulbright, an old school segregationist....

The democrats are the party of the racists......

And the unions drove jobs overs seas as did attacks by democrat politicians and their minions in the government agencies....

I call all criminals thugs...only racists like you guys don't want your black thugs called thugs....

Of course it was the white mans fault. No doubt. It was the white man that had the job that made the bullets and guns. Oh, come on, are you serious? People, what's wrong with you?!

Well of course the white man is usually the prime target of the Black Grievance Industry, but it's always good to rope a Jewish guy into the blame if at all possible. That keeps Calypso Louie off of Al's back for a while and Jesse gets to busy himself procuring a rent-a-mob for his TV interview background shots.

oh, if you get maimed by a bullet/spend 100k+ on medical bills/suffer for a year, lose work, etc, that doesn't COUNT, right? you have to DIE for your shooting to matter, is that how you "think"?

On your first point, I agree, though I think you've got the wrong story for the rest. You didn't go far enough into the truth here, higher business taxes, higher minimum wage, etc. all tend to drive business out, which feeds into poverty, and can drive people into a life of crime. Of course, that's not to excuse that some of it is also cultural.

I have no idea how you figure a "race to the bottom" is a republican ideal... If anything Republican's stand for working hard and /earning/ the money you make. Democrats seem to be the ones pushing for welfare, higher taxes on businesses, and "punishing" successful companies and individuals for not "paying their fair share."

As for your final statement, I'm fairly certain the vast majority refer to biker gangs as thugs... We actually pined them with the name OUTLAW biker gangs, OMG's OUTLAW motorcycle gangs... The FBI and law enforcement have been expressing serious concerns about bikers since the 70s, but we legally can't do anything to /stop/ them. We dumped so much negative attention on them that they went underground in the 80s-90s, we've also been actively infiltrating their gangs since the 70s, the most recent, and most serious, attempts were in 2010 because of major concerns that ex-military and ex-police officers were getting involved with them way too much. It's been a /serious/ concern for the government and law makers for a long time. Bikers being "thugs" is old news to us "white people."

"Outlaw biker gangs came to prominence in the 1950s and 1960s, becoming the symbol for a young, rebellious generation whose only concern was to have a good time, the California Department of Justice, Bureau of Organized Crime and Criminal Intelligence said in May 1991 report.

These gangs would ride into a town and drink and brawl to their hearts’ content, the report says.

The culture started changing in the 1970s, when the biker gangs turned into criminal enterprises, selling drugs and using violence and intimidation, as well as their expertise with weaponry, to become a formidable threat to society, the report says.

The report says the Hells Angels, the Bandidos, the Pagans and the Outlaws were considered the “Big Four” biker gangs. Since then, the Mongols have joined the infamous group."

"Bates, who was sheriff from 1970 to 1980, said the Hells Angels would come annually to Bass Lake and terrorize campers until he and his deputies ran them out of town.

“They knew I wasn’t kidding around,” said Bates, now 89 years old.

One time, Bates said he caught the Hells Angels using machine guns to cut down trees to use as firewood. After he arrested them, the Hells Angels put a hit out on him. Instead of hiding, Bates said he confronted a Hells Angels encampment, armed with a .45-caliber semi-automatic pistol in one hand, and a .45-caliber long Colt revolver in the other.

“I told them I had a deputy hiding on the ridge with a sniper rifle and orders to kill if anything happened to me,” Bates said. “They backed down and left Madera County.”

Another time, law enforcement kicked the Hells Angels out of the town of Friant in Fresno County. But before they could ride toward Bass Lake, Bates said he confronted them on Highway 41 at the junction of Highway 145.

Wearing a white cowboy hat, blue jeans and boots, Bates said he stood on Highway 41, holding a 30-06 Springfield rifle with a 16-inch bayonet. He said he stopped the Hells Angels in their tracks. “They turned around and left,” he said." ~ Lawsuit will explore Fresno s bygone era of outlaw bikers Fresno Bee Fresno Bee

"Long before a biker gang shootout in Waco, Texas, left 9 people dead and 18 wounded last weekend, law enforcement agencies have been concerned about outlaw motorcycle gangs—a.k.a. OMGs. A 1987 report by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms titled "Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs: Organized Crime on Wheels" warned that the gangs were "an extremely violent disruptive force in American society," an assessment that's echoed in the Department of Justice's current statement that the Bandidos gang that took part in the Waco skirmish poses "a growing criminal threat to the U.S."

Though it's nearly 30 years old, this ATF report provides a fascinating look at how law enforcement understands OMGs' inner workings. It also contains some lesser-known details about biker gangs' customs and history, such as the Hells Angels' lucrative foray into catering." ~ White Slavery Meth and Ice Cream Shops The Government Guide to Biker Gangs Mother Jones

"The report describes numerous surveillance and infiltration efforts by law enforcement, the earliest of which began in 2010. It identified rising violence between biker groups and described particular concern with military personnel in "outlaw motorcycle gangs," or OMGs.

Titled "OMGs and the Military 2014" and authored by the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco and Explosives, it profiles more than 100 individuals with ties to the armed forces, law enforcement and government, who were surveiled and often photographed at biker gang events."

"The report said that in 2007 the ATF first discovered that OMGs included active-duty military or reservists, but most of the intelligence apparently comes from about four years of surveillance efforts. The report shows that federal interest in bikers jumped in 2010 when the Hells Angels gang was designated a "highly prioritized organized crime group." That year, the first edition of "OMGs and the Military" was released and several operations began." ~ Report reveals years of federal investigations into military personnel in biker gangs - Houston Chronicle

"By the late 1970s local police and federal investigations began to expose the involvement of many 1% [motorcycle clubs] in drug trafficking, theft, extortion, and prostitution rings," Quinn writes. Chambers was caught in 1972, when he and two other Bandidos were arrested for killing two drug dealers in El Paso. "The police said that before killing the dealers, Chambers had made them dig their own graves," Hollandsworth writes. "Then Chambers and the other Bandidos had set their bodies on fire before burying them." Chambers was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences.

The arrest and incarceration of bike gang leaders in the '70s led to what Quinn calls a "retrenchment," during which a second generation of leaders dialed back the violence and focused on turning bigger profits through better operating drug and other criminal rackets.

But the past three decades have been shot through with sporadic bike gang battles, often overseas. By the 1980s, both the Bandidos and the Hells Angels had become international organizations. In 1984, a shootout between Bandidos and another gang called the Comancheros killed seven and wounded 28 in Milperra, Australia, near Sydney. The incident became known as the "Milperra Massacre."

In the mid 1990s, a "Great Nordic Biker War" between the Bandidos and the Hells Angels shook Scandinavia. At least 12 people died and nearly 100 were injured in the three-year skirmish, which featured unprecedented firepower for a gangland rivalry. "These hostilities have involved military ordinance as well as automatic weapons," Quinn writes. "At one point the Angels launched a grenade at a jail holding an enemy leader."

The two bike gangs faced off again in Canada during the late 1990s and 2000s. This time, the conflict — dubbed "The Quebec Biker war" — reportedly cost 150 lives. The conflict largely ended in April 2006, when authorities found eight Bandidos members dead in a farmer's field near Toronto. In 2009, an ex-cop on trial for the assassinations accused Bandidos world president Jeff Pike of ordering the killings. The ex-cop and five others were convicted of the crime. Pike denied the accusation and was never charged."

"November 15, 1996|By Jim Leusner of The Sentinel Staff

Two Outlaw motorcycle gang members, facing racketeering charges in a statewide crackdown, were ordered held without bail Thursday and will be returned to Tampa for trial.

Citing allegations of violence, Glen ''Flyball'' Clark, 41, president of the club's Orlando chapter, and Bobby Joe ''Breeze'' Mann, 38, of West Palm Beach were ordered detained by U.S. Magistrate David Baker in Orlando. They were among 10 Outlaws charged in a conspiracy involving everything from arson and murder to extortion and drug dealing, dating to 1980.

The federal indictment against the Outlaws, who have claimed Florida as their turf since the 1960s, elated members of the Orlando-based Warlocks.

''It's not paybacks but patience that pays,'' a Warlock [a rival biker gang] spokesman said.

Motorcycle gang expert Carl Carruthers, a retired Broward County sheriff's captain who investigated the Outlaws for 20 years, doubts the indictment will kill off the club.

''Each time we did a racketeering case, they bounced back more sophisticated,'' Carruthers said. ''The bikers are nothing more than a big-kid street gang.'' ~ 2 Outlaws Ordered Held Without Bail - To Face Trial In Tampa - tribunedigital-orlandosentinel
