The Dems have had a super-majority for the past two years. They shoved ObamaCare through against the will of the public. Given the vast support for extending the tax rates, if they had wanted to, they could have easily passed the extension long before we were up against the end of the year.

In reality the Democrat never had more than 58 seats in the Senate. To hold a supermajority you'd need at least 60.

You're a dolt. From an ideology standpoint, the Dems had 60 seats. Look at Sanders' and Lieberman's voting records. They also caucus with the Dems, which is all a rational person needs to know.
