Heck...quite a few have PTSD and still patrol. Why? Police world hasnt accepted PTSD as a legitimate medical retirement condition. The police culture is suck it up and get back to work. Which is wrong. But its how it is.

So you'll have a cop who has been shot at. Who has seen murdered babies. Seen teenage girls decapitated in car wrecks. Then gets sent to a home because someone wants cops to get their brat 12 year old off the Xbox.....and they wonder why the cop is a bit rude and cynical.
