(CNSNews.com) – A gun-rights group says that Chicago’s Democratic Mayor Rahm Emanuel bears some responsibility for the murder rate in the Windy City, which now totals 470 homicides this year, because of the strict gun-control laws there.

“Rahm Emanuel has some blood on his hands,” said Alan Gottlieb, chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, in a statement. “He and the city council have done everything possible to prevent law-abiding Chicago residents from exercising their restored Second Amendment rights in the two years since the Supreme Court’s landmark McDonald ruling.”

In June 2010, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 5-4 against a handgun ban in the city of Chicago in McDonald v. Chicago.

But just four days after the Supreme Court decision, the Chicago City Council adopted the Responsible Gun Owners Ordinance which, among other restrictions, requires prospective gun owners to take a firearm safety course at a gun range in order to obtain a permit to own a gun in a home. At the same time, the city council’s decision placed a virtual ban on gun ranges in the city.

Got to love the people who think that criminals are going to somehow be disarmed if we pass a law prohibiting guns and then resort to insults to somehow argue against such "illogical" ideas as letting honest people have weapons to defend themselves.

Yeah, you really have to wonder about the fact that the marjority of those murders 99.9% of them are committed with illegal guns used by felons. And truth be told, where honest individuals licensed to carry pistols are present there is less crime. Hard to figure out when Chicago like New York City have the most strictest gun laws in the nation, yet the highest crime stats in the nation.

The beauty of citizens arming themselves to engage in small wars, is that, in order not to be outgunned, they must keep buying bigger and better weapons. A simple little 12 guage shot gun will soon no longer do the trick, people need real weapons, bigger weapons. say an small bazooka, some mustard gas, a mobile 105 howlitzer, this could be great for gun dealers and those citizens that want to have some real target shooting.

I don't remember saying that, did you? I do find it interesting that the cities with the highest murder rates are all controlled by commiecrats and have the most restrictive gun laws in the nation, effectively creating a free kill zone for the bad guys.
