47% versus "You didn't build that"

Polls Show Romney’s 47 Percent Moment Breaking Through, ‘You Didn’t Build That’ Fizzling | TPM2012

47% comment has net negative affect on Romney support:

The latest WSJ/NBC poll read respondents his comments and found 45 percent felt more negatively towards Romney afterwards versus only 23 percent who felt more positive about him. Even worse, the 12 percent slice of voters NBC defines as “up for grabs” had the strongest reaction. Just 10 percent approved of the remarks versus a whopping 49 percent who said the comments diminished their opinion of Romney.

"You didn't build that" has net positive affect:

At least as discouraging, for Republicans, however, is that Romney’s favorite Obama quote — “You didn’t build that” — isn’t even a net drag for the president. After hearing his comments, voters reacted positively by a 36-32 margin overall, and independents and “up for grabs” voters actually approved of them by slightly higher margins.

Interesting research.

In your dreams.......... I just passed 4 "you didn't build my business" yard signs today.. And POLLS???????????????????????????
Golly jeepers --- One poll says that 68% of Americans who are gonna vote don't even know what you're talking about..

"............By a 36 - 32 margin overall".. BS That means that 32% had no opinion or said it didn't matter.

Its sad to think that so many are SO willing to buy the lie.

No rw can say they don't know its a lie. That means they're willing to lie.

eeeUUUUWWWWWWWWWWW

The ultimate revenge of the 47% just might be that one of them, perhaps a waiter at that ultra-ritzy, 1% get together where IdiotMit slit his own throat,

The ultimate revenge just might that it was one of them who set up that camera and possibly changed the outcome of this election.

Delicious thought, isn't it?

OTOH, reading here tells me that rw's don't mind that RomneyRyan laugh at them, make fun of them. Its as though they just don't think they're talking about them.

Ya dumb twit.

2005. That's when we all saw that video.

That means, by definition, they're not "new".

Never mind. You are stooopid because you like being stooopid. That makes you among the uneducated.

I'm waiting to see the debates and how Mittens is going to defend that statement.

I'd also like to see him asked about specifics of his tax plan, not just general b.s. statements.

BTW, Mittens has said he wants a 20 percent tax cut across the board. Quick question, since he only pays around 13.8 percent now, does that mean he's looking for a tax refund on the other 6.2 percent?

"You didn't build that" was taken out of context. It led to a "lesson" in "out of context" that Mitt was kind enough to share with all of us:

remember folks, everything Obama says is taken out of context..but everything Romney says ISN'T...

Many of those 47% actually built and defended most of what you youngins now enjoy.

Yeah, because most of the 47 percent that Mittens was talking about are people who are ALREADY RETIRED (which means they had jobs) or in the military (which means they have jobs and are dependent on the government for their paychecks and health care).

Interestingly enough though, most of the 47 percent that Mittens was talking about DO have jobs and pay their taxes via payroll taxes.

The 47% of people on some type of entitlement are not people who are on medicare or SS.

Medicare and SS are not entitlements, they were paid for by the people who use them. In fact people who use medicare are still paying a monthly premium which is deducted from their monthly SS check.

There is no ’47 percent,’ that’s the fundamental idiocy of Romney’s whining remarks. The Americans Romney disparaged pay taxes, have jobs, go to school, raise families, and work as hard as everyone else; they’re ‘different’ in only they are of middle or low income.

As to the OP, yes, as already correctly noted, it’s good to see that most Americans understand the importance of context.

Somethings you just can't take out of context. Like Romney's plan to cut education. He sat at a round table of teachers and told them class size doesn't matter. Worse, when he talked to the Olympians and basically said exactly what Obama said. "You didn't do that on your own, you had a great coach, government help, parents". And that 47%? He went into great detail. Besides, Republicans don't care about the average American. Remember "let him die" from the Las Vegas debates? That's the Republican Party. That's where they are coming from. American helping American in any way is "socialism". They hate what this country stands for and want to turn it into a kind of weird Christian Taliban.

Yeah, and his attack on people who work hard but don't stow their money in the Caymans or Switzerland, was according to a certain brain dead rw ditz, 'taken out of context'.

What a lame ass excuse that is.

Its as bad as, 'the polls only ask the D's".

effing whiners.

Most of them got grouped in since they do not pay income taxes.

Point is --- they pay NOT A PENNY to the everyday functioning of the Federal Govt. That's the 48 Agencies and 3 branches of govt that you apparently think run off good intentions.
Not a PENNY for DOD, the TSA, the FBI, the FCC, the DofEd, the DofEnergy, the Ag Dept, the welfare complex, the subsidy complex, the corporate handout complex, the R&D agencies, the Science agencies, the NEArts, the education grants, the Congressional oversight, the beancounters, the Federal Courts, the Intelligience Agencies, the wars, the current deficit in Soc Sec, the interest on the debt ------- shall I go on???

NOT A FREAKIN' PENNY.... I'm not impressed that "they are nice normal folks"..

Don't value that all that Federal crap enough to believe that SOME OF THOSE folks ought to make token contributions? Good. Let's starting whacking it all down to size..

BTW: They didn't get into the 47% because they're lazy or stupid. THey got EXCUSED FROM CONTRIBUTING thru tax policy. POLICY created the 47%. It's NOT their fault. There are PLENTY of folks in that group that need to participate in SUPPORTING the government that MANY OF THEM want MORE of..

There are more poor people than business owners, so Democraps sellout to the losers in life.

Obamination knows poor people, especially black people don't like so-called rich "white and asian" business owners, see the LA riots. Telling them that "those rich people" are stealing from them sells, when in fact it is the poor black people on welfare stealing from the asian business owner that runs a store in theri ghetto.
