What makes you think that only Republicans are at the nation's Home Depots hiring their construction crews? What makes you think that a lot of the people loitering at Home Depot are all illegal aliens? A friend of mine owned a waterproofing contractor years ago, and always went to local bars in the morning to find guys to do that kind of work. And the guys he were all legal.

Enforcing the hiring laws in regards to Illegals would require the hiring of tens of thousands of new ICE agents. And a lot of the people they would nab would turn out to be US citizens

Second, ice agents could be more effectively used shutting down businesses that hire illegals than Trac them down one by one.

So it's obvious when one of them is NOT using E-verify... But it also takes the will to DENY Freebies.. And that's the harder problem when 66% of folks you're allowing in under illegal status are minimally qualified to work or children...

That's heartless.. But it should STOP because it's not really healthy or sustainable for a vast number of the people we're allowing to stay without being ORPHANS or wards of the state...

You wouldn't catch non-corporate entities very easily.. But even a lot of contractors are LLCs now.. They ALL FILE withholding statements. That's how you KNOW when they hire.. It's a matter of WILL and information technology to make those connections.. If Facebook knows which burger joint you like the best and the last time you booked a hotel -- then this should be PEANUTS if it was NOT --- the inept, incompetent Federal govt...

Another issue of will and competence.. Matching E-verify to IRS filing records should and WOULD eliminate a lot of that fraud if records were kept correctly.. Someone with MULTIPLE jobs would be flagged. Especially if they are not in the same area or retired..

Funny how NSA can collect and store EVERY electronic communication in this country and pull up networks of social and financial connections.. But E-verify cannot.. I'm not advocating for surveillance type data-mining. Just saying that EMPLOYMENT records and knowing if a person has more than 2 W2 wage streams is pretty elemental...
