BUT -- this stat is a bit misleading because FEDERAL crimes include IMMIGRATION crime and therefore DOES what you say should be done in your OP... It's counting no-shows at hearings, overstays, and just plain deportable offenses.. With about ONE MILLION this year entering illegally, that's a lot of "federal crime" potential if you count every immigration law violation...

What makes you think that only Republicans are at the nation's Home Depots hiring their construction crews? What makes you think that a lot of the people loitering at Home Depot are all illegal aliens? A friend of mine owned a waterproofing contractor years ago, and always went to local bars in the morning to find guys to do that kind of work. And the guys he were all legal.

Enforcing the hiring laws in regards to Illegals would require the hiring of tens of thousands of new ICE agents. And a lot of the people they would nab would turn out to be US citizens
