So how did things get so bad?

Stupid decisions lead to stupid results, and very soon we will start to pay a very great price for decades of incredibly stupid decisions.

I've had this question ever since I moved to Vegas more than 35 years ago – what happens to all that food left over from the buffets and restaurants? And supermarkets all across the country? I've read estimates of 40%.

So how many hungry people could be fed every day from this? And without needing food stamps to pay for them. Of course, do away with food stamps and the moochers can no longer buy booze and smokes and get $$$ for their fixes.

Obama's fault

Remember how he was going to SAVE US ALL. well duped again

Feeding America spokesman Ross Fraser said a recent study by his organization estimated that 46 million people sought food assistance at least once in 2014.
Never trust an estimate from someone who's salary depends on the results.

yes we were going to have a new green economy with jobs for all!! If it had not been for the Republican fracking/horizontal drilling revolution unemployment would not be 10.5% but 15.5%

Obama's soviet libcommie socialism in action:

"In 2008 candidate Barack Obama promised to create 5 million green jobs. He laid out a plan to invest $150 billion over 10 years that would advance a clean-energy economy built around biofuels, hybrid cars, low-emission coal plants, and renewable sources such as solar and wind. How many has he actually created?
