Yippee, my husband and I have made our reservations, we're going to Lost Wages for 4 nights Sept 6-10. We've got my son's caregiver for the day and another man at night, possibly. I'm praying nothing goes wrong, I already bought the tickets. I really wanted 5 nights, but we didn't dare leave Andrew that long.

So, anybody live in Vegas, you could give us a ride from the airport :D

I don't live in Vegas, but if you pay for my plane ticket and the car rental, I'll drive you and your husband around like a chaffeur (when I'm not at the pool, eating, sleeping, or checking out the casino).

I'm planning on spending a lot of time in the air conditioned casinos. We're upgrading to a room with a jacuzzi tub. I'm planning on spending a lot of time there. I will, however, bring capris and light clothing. I need to get me some new walking shoes. Each of those casinos is about a mile long.....

Get gel inserts for your shoes. Penn and Teller at the Rio is a real good show that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Let your hair down, don't watch the clock, and enjoy!

Can't get gel inserts, at least not before I go, we're taking carry on only and they don't let gel inserts passed security. No problem, I'm getting Dr Scholls shoes. I'm carrying on my bag because I have a breakable wedding present for a friend in Vegas. No way I'm gonna check it.

I prefer one night in Bangkok.

I know it's not what you meant, but my brother and his wife are there at this moment. His friend owns a hotel in Bangkok. His wife is from Thailand, after a few nights there, they are heading all over the place to visit relatives and look for homes. He wants to retire in Thailand, it's cheaper to live there.

Tell him to be careful, it makes a hard man humble.

We had a foreign exchange student that lived with us from Bangkok years ago, but we still keep in touch with her and her husband. They own an upscale restaurant on the river in Bangkok, and is always asking us to come and visit. She's been back here in America visiting us and other people many times.

I used to live Vegas. It's a crazy place. Keep a VERY close eye on WHERE YOUR MONEY IS AT! Never set anything down and look away from it. If you're playing a slot machine and have a bucket of coins sitting down between the machines, one person will come up on one side of you, tap you on the shoulder and point to something on the floor asking if it's your's to distract you, while someone on the other side is lifting your bucket of cash. Pay attention! Have fun and relax, but PAY ATTENTION! If you're a purse carrier, always keep an eye on where it's at. Don't let it out of arms reach. Better yet, keep it in your lap or don't carry it at all. I don't mean to sound like an alarmist, but having lived there for four years, I saw and heard it all. The list of people that are victims is never ending. All you can do is try and not be one of them by taking some simple precautions.

NOW ENJOY YOURSELF!!! ...

Well, it's not our first time, I know a lot about Vegas, what are you looking for? This time we're staying at the Flamingo, but we've stayed at the Tropicana, the Luxor, Excalibur, The New York, New York, Ballys, Paris, The Venetian, and The Palazzo on the strip. Downtown we've stayed at the Fitz and The Golden Nugget. Sad to say, it's gotten more expensive as the years go buy. We used to be able to get buy with $20 a day for food for both of us but now, Buffets can be as much as $50 a piece. Shows are expensive too. We've made friends with some Casino hosts so our rooms are almost always free now. And this trip we get free admission to the Eiffel Tower.

I want to get tickets for a show but we are looking for one we can afford. We did take the ghost tour of Vegas, maybe this time we'll take the Gangster tour. There's a lot to do there. And there are a lot of things to see that aren't real expensive. The statues at the Venetian are real people. It's fun to just stand there and watch them. I saw one in a toga with his fist held up in front of him. I put a tip on the stand in front of him and his thumb ever so slowly went up. The gondola drivers sing at the Venetian too. I've never taken the gondola ride, but I have watched them sing.

Ever play video keno? Give it a try. Easy to play. Not expensive. Believe it or not, you can win at it. We have played it exclusively for decades. Once you hit on it, you are hooked. Play a six-spot.

I'll give it a shot.

LOL, i was asking you if you needed any advice about vegas.

;) and the gondola "rowers" don't row. If you look on the floor of the back of the boat there is a floor button that they stand on to make the boat go:lol::lol::lol:
