Even so, as the story points out, as a Felon he couldn't own firearms (It's the Law) yet he still had one somehow.

No, I'm making a point. Apparently it's too good to debate.

It isn't the end of the story, it's the beginning. The story is about how gun laws are ineffective and that we need to be concentrating on what causes these people to become violent, why can't we identify them, andwhy can't we protect society from them.

It is clear what is going on in the country. We hate one another. Freedom has been confused with license. The man who shot the firemen said it best. He liked it. It made him happy. Doesn't he hear thousands of times a day that he has a right to be happy? We are a degenerate and sadistic culture that recognizes no rights that extend beyond the id. Normalize homosexuality, over sexualize children, celebrate abortion, excuse random attacks on innocent people as having fun. What do you expect? The nation is poisoned. It is so poisoned that we can't even judge right from wrong. There is no evil. That's religion and won't be tolerated.

The left isn't limiting consideration to the gun. It is the entire concept of self defense. If someone used a knife, axe or chainsaw you would see the same kind of complaining. Last year it was dogs. Ban dogs kill all the pit bulls. The debate should be to restore decency and get rid of the liberals where all the crap is coming from.

Firefighters' group laments ‘senseless and cruel’ shooting
12/24/12 The International Association of Fire Fighters on Monday released a statement lamenting the “senseless and cruel” violence by a “cold-hearted maniac” that left two firefighters dead and two wounded in western New York early this morning.

“The calculated shooting of fire fighters in Webster, New York, is both senseless and cruel,” the Washington, D.C.-based group said in a statement. “The fire fighters who responded today were performing a selfless, meaningful service to their community, unaware that a cold-hearted maniac was planning to ambush them and take their lives.”

Details of the shooting are still emerging, but the Associated Press is reporting that a gunman ambushed the volunteer firefighters at an early morning blaze near Rochester, killing two, wounding two. The gunman is also dead, but authorities have not said how he died.

Rochester Police Chief Gerald Pickering said at a news conference the fire was an apparent trap to lure the firefighters to the area. “These people get up in the middle of the night to go put out fires; they don't expect to be shot and killed,” he told reporters. It’s the latest in a string of high-profile shootings in the U.S. On Dec. 14, 26 people were killed, including 20 children, when a gunman opened fire at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.

“Coming on the heels of the horrific tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut, and on Christmas Eve, this shooting is even harder to comprehend,” the IAFF statement continued. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who lost their lives in the line of duty today and we pray that those who were injured make speedy recoveries.”

December 26, 2012 - Two firefighters wounded by a gunman who set his upstate New York house ablaze and killed two of their colleagues in an ambush with weapons he wasn't allowed to own were on the mend Wednesday and said they were thankful for the support they've received.

Investigators, meanwhile, traced the gunman's weapons and tried to confirm a body found in his destroyed house was his sister's. West Webster volunteer firefighters Joseph Hofstetter and Theodore Scardino, who had been in guarded condition, were being upgraded to satisfactory condition on Wednesday at Rochester's Strong Memorial Hospital, which released a statement from them saying they were "humbled and a bit overwhelmed by the outpouring of well wishes for us and our families."

Funerals are set for the next few days for Chiapperini and Kaczowka. Authorities said Spengler set a car on fire and touched off an "inferno" in his Webster home on a strip of land along the Lake Ontario shore, took up a sniper's position and opened fire on the first firefighters to arrive at about 5:30 a.m. on Christmas Eve.

Spengler, 62, traded rifle fire with a Webster police officer who had accompanied the firefighters and then killed himself with a gunshot to the head. Investigators found a rambling, two- to three-page typed letter laying out Spengler's intention to destroy his neighborhood and "do what I like doing best, killing people." They believe remains found in the burned home are those of Cheryl Spengler, but that hadn't been confirmed, and it was unknown how she died. The Spengler siblings had lived in the home with their mother, Arline Spengler, who died in October. In all, seven houses were destroyed by the flames.

There also was no word from authorities about how William Spengler, who served time for his grandmother's beating death, got three guns found with his body: a military-style Bushmaster .223-caliber semiautomatic rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun and a .38-caliber revolver. The rifle, which had a combat-style flash suppressor, is the same make and caliber as one used by a gunman to massacre 20 children and six women at a Newtown, Conn., elementary school earlier this month. Federal authorities confirmed Wednesday they had traced the sale of the weapons, but they didn't release details.
