In my small town in California, regular unleaded is up to $ 4.39 a gallon.

Damn.. those Democrats have screwed us..

According to The One, if you can't afford the gasoline, you should trade in your gas guzzler (which may be paid off) and buy a new car (preferably a Chevy Volt) and pay more in monthly car payments than you now currently do for gas.

    That's the New New Economics.

High gas prices will do more to kill Obama's re-election bid than anything else. Frankly, unless people are dying in large numbers no one cares about the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and now Libya. But people fill up at least once a week. It is a constant reminder how much things suck.

It's one of the variables in the misery index which at this point could be confused with the givens.
