...If we apply the same definition of pedophilia applied to gays like Harvey Milk at any rate.

"State laws

* age of consent 17 (8): Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Texas, Wyoming"

Hmmm, so the whole "your only legal when your 18" thing seems to be a myth.

As just our own country's aoc laws illustarte, nevermind the world where the spread is even greater, the ages are completely arbitrary and not based on any sort of scientific consenus pertaining to maturity or emotional development.

Some never advance beyond a primitive and immature idea of sexuality. Sadly, that exactly fits the clinical definition of a pedophile.

There is no reason why the age of consent can't be 10, or 5. Consent laws are subject to interpretation and whim.

As came up yesterday with a couple of the kdis here wanting more cupcakes than I thought would be safe for them, just because a child asks for something doesn't mean they have the acapacity to understand what tastes good isn't necessarily good for you. Same with sex, wanting sex doesn't imply 'informed consent' or 'good judgement.' Sometimes it is for adults to safeguard children from themselves denying them things they may well want and be able to request, but nonetheless need to be protected from as with too much junkfood, or potentially hazardous activities like having sex before their bodies are physically ready for it, or their minds emotionally ready for it.
