A comprehensive investigation of voter impersonation finds 31 credible incidents out of one billion ballots cast - The Washington Post

Out of more then 1 billion ballots cast since 2000...31 cases of impersonation voter fraud were found in a study.

Voter ID laws that require showing an ID at the polling booths specifically prevent this one type of voter fraud (and yes...ONLY this type of voter fraud).

Voter ID laws do not stop any fraud involving absentee ballots (which they can actually drive MORE people to use the absentee ballots, since they are hence less restrictive...)

Voter ID laws do not stop people from voting in more then one location

They do not stop any other form of Voter Fraud except the specific kind of voter fraud the study above talks about. 31 cases in 14 years....out of 1 BILLION ballots.

31 / 1,000,000,000

Waste of Time? or ulterior motive?

You decide.
