30 million uninsured not the issue

If insurance companies can compete their policies across state lines and spread out their risk, then the rates will drop to that amount.

The idiots that spend $200 on a PS3 can then put some money towards their health and dental care instead of expecting others to bail them out in the last hour.

Many uninsured are illegals, young people.....Obamination supporters.

Most people would rather dump $5K into their car for "bling" than spend $200/month on health insurance. Afterall, liberals made it legal for them to go to the ER and demand healthcare.

Where can you get insurance for 200 a month??

After Obamacare takes full effect in 2014, will we see business drop their coverage altogether and take the much less expensive avenue of paying the tax and will we then have over 100 million uninsured Americans?

Will the left tell us if we do?

Why are Teabaggers always waiting for someone to TELL THEM what-to-do??!!!

So our ol' prune face Mitch says that 30 million uninsured American Citizens are not the issue.

And ol' Boner is going to rip the ACA up by the roots.

All because President Obama passed a Health Care Act that is based on the one put in place in Massachesets by the present GOP Candidate for President.

And ol' Prune Face is ready to have a stroke at the thought that Americans as a whole might enjoy the same health care benefits that he has enjoyed for these many years. What is the use of being an elite if ordinery mortals get to enjoy some of the same things that you do?

So what happened then to you Obamacare supporters other 20 million "uninsured"???
On July 22,2009 before Obama said this in his opening remarks:

"This is not just about the 47 million AMERICANS who have no health insurance."

Why do you continue then to ignore the fact that
10 million supposedly "uninsured" ARE NOT CITIZENS!
14 million are already covered by Medicaid
that leaves of 30 million 6 million TRULY uninsured!

So where are you getting 30 million???

It's always 30 million.... 30,000,000 starving, 30,000,000 lack health insurance, 30,000,000 suffer from toenail fungus....

and yet we cant fix your ignorance.

Republicans don't care about middle class Americans or the poor. So in a "real" sense, 30,000,000 really don't matter. Not to them. Just follow their rhetoric.

That may all be true.. except in the real world with real numbers how can you possibly trust a government that starts out saying 47 million then 50 million now 30 million and that in the SAME government one agency says 10 million are NOT citizens but are counted as "uninsured while another agency says 14 million who say they are NOT insured are in fact covered by medicaid!

Come on now you expect your bank to keep track to the penny deposits and YOUR money so why can't that same accuracy be expected of the government?

I mean idiots PASSED Obamacare because THEY thought there were 50 million uninsured and there would BE NO TAXES involved! Laws that are affecting MY life and yours passed with bogus and phony statistics and statements.."SCOTUS says Obamacare is a tax!"
Now do you think some of the Congressmen can go back to their districts with pissed off people asking them.. WHY did you vote for something that will RAISE MY TAXES??

After all idiots around the world want everyone else's taxes raised BUT boy not in my back yard!
If there was ONE way to guarantee repeal of Obamacare it was SCOTUS calling it a TAX!

Obama called it a penalty! SCOTUS a tax... either way NOW joe sixpack KNOWS he is gonna PAY!!! NO free lunch from Obama now!!

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvZvNSKrOZ4]McConnell can't say how GOP will insure 30m after repealing ObamaCare - YouTube[/ame]

LINK Crocks? :eusa_hand:

Mitch McConnell’s appearance on Fox News Sunday was remarkably revealing — it showed as clearly as you could want that the Supreme Court decision is finally forcing Republicans to declare what, exactly, they would replace Obamacare with if they realize their goal of repealing it entirely.

Pressed by Chris Wallace to say what he would do to insure the 30 million people who will get insurance under Obamacare, McConnell at first dodged the question, instead launching into a litany of complaints about the law. He repeated the debunked claim that it would cut $500 billion from Medicare. Asked the question again by Wallace, McConnell actually laughed and said he’d “get to it in a minute,” before claiming the best thing we can do for the health system overall is to get rid of the law and all of its “cuts” to health providers. He labeled Obamacare a “monstrosity” and vowed that there would not be a “2,700-page” Republican reform bill.

Asked a third time how Republicans would insure those 30 million people, McConnell said: “That is not the issue. The question is how you can go step by step to improve the American healthcare system.”

The most charitable reading of McConnell’s quote is that he meant that Republicans see no need to come up with a single overarching reform plan that would cover those millions of uninsured, and instead will advocate a step-by-step approach. But even Wallace saw McConnell’s quote in far less charitable terms:

WALLACE: “You don’t think the 30 million people who are uninsured is an issue?”

McCONNELL: “Let me tell you what we’re not going to do. We’re not going to turn the American healthcare system into a Western European system.”

This is basically Mitt Romney’s position, too. Romney would not guarantee coverage across the board for people with preexisting conditions, and his alternatives would not emphasize covering the uninsured. Republicans want to keep the focus on Obamacare as a generalized “monstrosity.” But the Supreme Court has enshrined this “monstrosity” as constitutional. So Republicans will no longer be able to avoid discussing what the law’s specifics would actually do for people — and what Republicans would replace them with, if anything.

Anything else?

Why not hurl some more obscenities...that always never works.

Just an insane political scene. One Presedential candidate is running against what most consider to be his own best acheivement. The present President started his term with an economy that was shedding jobs at a rate of 750,000 a month, and a stock market that dropped to 1/2 of it's prior value. At present the market has pretty much recovered most of it's value. We are gaining jobs every month, not as fast as we would like, but we came so very close to the Second Great Republican Depression. And the fact that we are gaining at all is for the good. Yet we have the fruitloops stating that President Obama is an economic failure. And that they want to revert to the policies that took us to where we were at in January of 2009.

This is the worst recovery from recession in our Nation's history.

Obama sucks.

Mitt should be(and was) proud of what he accomplished for Massachusetts in regards to health care.

I agree, and every Governor and state legislature should consider health care reform that helps the poor and disadvantaged. Of course they have to balance their state budget every year, and it will become increasingly difficult. if not impossible with all of the new rules, regulations and unfunded mandates being forced on them by the present administration.

One of the questions lost in the dynamics of most discussions is really was this the time for such a law? We are in a fiscal crisis and spending is out of control with insurmountable debt climbing to before unseen heights.

Local and state governments are in serious fiscal crisis, one reason being local officials do provide medical treatement to those 30 million uninsured as well as non citizens. In fact so do private hospitals, who treat and then transport the uninsured to public hospitals (county hospitals) where the costs are born by the tax paying citizens of each county. Health care is a national problem and one more issue that was kicked down the road by the Congress for decades.

The streets were not littered with dead bodies before ACA. Medicaid was insuring the most needy of the population and many still ignore the fact that our penetrable borders are causing most of our problems.

Correct, another issue not solved by The Congress.

For years, Congress has ignored the elephant in the room by allowing amnesty to criminals who came across these borders illegally, usurped our medical services beyond their bounds.

Not true. Congress is well aware of the problem, they simply chose to do nothing about it. Obama, BTW, is deporting more persons who entered our country illegally, than has been done in the past

If all administrations and Congresses had taken this issue seriously, we wouldn't be facing the medical crisis we have now. Instead the present administration lends a helping hand to illegals, refuses to help states with ICE commitments and leads us down the path of even more unsustainable medical demands than we currently have.

And here you devolve in partisan bullshit. It's the Congress' job to fix the immigration issue which Reagan exacerbated with amnesty; Obama is kicking out those who have entered our country illegally.

JMO.

Why have we not seen any person - including the top dogs in larger corporations - who have hired persons not legally able to work in the U.S. put in prison? Conspiracy to commit a crime is a felony and those who engage in the conspiracy to hire such persons deserve nothing less than prison and a stiff fine.

Maybe you should try to put on your glasses or learn to read!

The question was will the left tell us if the situation goes awry not in any way shape or form about what to do.

I'm guessing the answer is no, they will pretend that every thing is peachy-keen and blame any bad news on the Republicans.

Yeah.....there's definitely a lot less sweaty-equity in guessing, than actually thinking-things-thru....and, who'd know that better than Teabaggers?
