National Security problem at our border? What problem?

You're on your own to fend for yourselves folks, we have a charter to catch and a play to watch.

Dems fly to Puerto Rico on chartered jet, meet with lobbyists, see 'Hamilton' as shutdown drags on

Despite a partial government shutdown with no end in sight, about 30 Democratic members of Congress traveled to Puerto Rico this weekend -- with their families and lobbyists -- for a winter retreat where they also planned to see a special performance of the hit Broadway show “Hamilton.”

Those attending the Congressional Hispanic Caucus BOLD PAC gathering in San Juan also planned to meet Saturday with Puerto Rican officials to discuss ongoing cleanup efforts from Hurricane Maria, according to a report.

“This year’s winter retreat promises to be our most widely attended yet with over 220 guests, including 39 Members of Congress and CHC BOLD PAC supporters expected to attend and participate!” a planning memo said.
And?

Trump can end the shutdown in a hot minute if he wanted .

The President has made it clear that abandoning the Wall is a non-starter.

So are you suggesting that the President use extreme methods to get Chuck and Nancy to comply?

Like those used by the mayor of Knox County, Tennessee several years ago?

tRump already approved a budget with no no wall. His flip-flopping is the cause here. Nothing else.

Big deal. They are meeting with their most important constituents: R.J. Reynolds, Facebook, Comcast, Amazon, PhRMA, Microsoft, Intel, Verizon, and unions like the National Education Association.

Who stand to lose money if these Congress critters don't get back to work and vote. I'm betting the list of who went to P.R. will coincide with who votes to end the shutdown.
They're there to plan their next move.
The optics are terrible for them.

This has become the Democrats problem. Trump has offered compromise on the dollar amonut and construction materials. Most of the Democrats have supported a wall in the past. Yet we see no effort or plan being put forth by the Democrats to make any type of compromise on something that is 0.01% of the budget. The only suggestion they have is to end the shutdown, then negotiate That clearly takes away the current best reason to compromise. The Democrats certainly wouldn't concede to that, if things were reversed. This is the face of Democratic leadership, Schumer and Pelosi colluding with what I must conclude are foreign agent attempting to destroy America.

Republicans are working hard telling Trump to SHUT THE FUCK UP ..

Washington (AFP) - Top Republican lawmakers on Sunday warned against Donald Trump declaring a national emergency to secure funds for a border wall, signaling doubts within the president's party as a government shutdown was set to enter a fourth workweek.

Senator Ron Johnson, chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, told CNN that he would "hate" to see Trump invoke emergency powers for a wall.

"If we do that, it's going to go to court and the wall won't get built," he said.

And Representative Steve Scalise, the No. 2 House Republican, told ABC, "We don't want it to come down to a national emergency declaration," even if he believes Trump has the authority to do so. ...

I think all Americans would hate for it to come to that. But on the other hand, this is what Democrats are pushing us towards.

Do, tell...what in your view is a Conservatives who actually walk and vote the talk?

Do you mean someone that is for limited government and more personal freedoms, someone that will stay out of our bedrooms and living rooms?
