The OP is trying to use Britain and people getting shot even in spite of their laws to scare people over here into supporting the NRA and gun rights.

Only problem is, apparently the OP doesn't realize that what happens in Britain isn't necessarily what is gonna happen here, because of the 2 different countries, with 2 different government things.

No troll, the OP is pointing out how banning guns does not stop crime. Liberals need crime.

I don't think anyone here in the UK has ever said banning guns stops crime, ever. Banning guns reduces the opportunities for criminals to acquire guns. Police statistics show that guns are not that prevalent in the criminal underworld; the same gun has demonstrably been shown to have been used in several shootings all around the UK, by different people, for example. Guns do not prevent crime, police do.

Nope... but their crime rate would be lower.

Total rubbish, gangs would still commit the same number of crimes. Our crime rate has nothing to do with the absence of firearms held by "law abiding" citizens; it has everything to do with the emasculation of our police services, most of whom are 20% under strength due to Right wing government ideological and unnecessary "austerity" cutbacks.
