Trump Tower was built between 1979 & 1983 when dangerous Federal Pacific Electric (FPE) was one of the most popular manufacturers of electrical panels in the United States..It has since been discovered that nearly ever panel contains bad breakers, because 30% of the breakers in panels fail to trip when circuits short out or become overloaded. It's possible defective aluminum wire may have been used in the late 1970's. Building / occupancy inspectors will fail these during inspection & force you to replace them. Todd Brassner, 67, who died in the fire bought the apartment in 1996 Trump also refused to install fire sprinklers.
