3.6 Trillion dollars - If you spent $1 million an hour, non-stop for 24 hours a day, you wouldn’t run out of money for 411 years.

Does anyone here really agree with his plan?

Oh I can assure you there are lots of idiots on this board who agree with him!

I can't wait to hear it. But, alas....crickets.

Someone had started a thread earlier today pointing out that Obama's approval rating was up, so obviously there are a bunch of people who agree with him. Isn't that special? I'm sure all this money will turn the markets around one day. They can't be declining because of the 'stimulus', right?

About 12 hours later and none of the Obamabots have posted here?

Everyone drink the kool-aid now. None of you have a clue.

Even later and still nothing?

Seriously now, are their any Obamabots who can enlighten me?

Are you all so blind that you can't answer a simple question?

Do any of you think his plan is going to work? Tell me how.

Nobody knows if it's going to work as we are in unprecedented circumstances.

Thank goodness for hope though!  :eusa_shifty:

They don't care. They think government is the solution to all there problems...And communists who think that a government that does everything for everyone will just go away are the biggest idiots of all.

The poll was taken before Obama announced his budget. The market is not likely to perceive this well and has not. Last week was the worst showing on Wall Street since 1933.

disclaimer:
The word budget is no longer to be associated with responsibility. Rather it is more accurately defined as a list of pork items coupled with goverment support/expansion. It is known as the Pelosi Shopping Spree financed as a subprime loan from China.

I think the government needs to do something to save capitalism.

But as to the structure of how they're doing it?

I am, thus far, less than impressed.

Everyone has this idea that the circumstances we see have never been seen before. This is a bunch of nonsense. History repeats itself because human nature repeats itself. We may never have spent this much money to try and "save" the economy before. But we cant fool ourselves into thinking governments have not tried to spend money to stimulate the economy before.

We will see massive inflation. defaulted loans by government and eventually bloodshed. You can hope all you want, but when you make stupid choices, there are going to be harsh consequences.

Now we can change things by not letting the government control us. Being wise with our money. But we are quickly reaching a point of no return where we or our children will have to bleed to make sure our freedom remains in tact.

They don't care if it works...that's not the point. They just want the power to push their laundry lists of entitlements down the rest of the public's throat. They were happy..even gleeful when the economy tanked, and refuse hold any of the democrats responsible accountable for their part in it.

Dead on. Looking at the "stimulus" shows nothing but crap projects that won't stimulate anything except votes for the Dems.

It is so easy to see how much of a fake BO is when it comes to things. A perfect example of saying what you have to say to get elected then throwing everything away once you have the job.

He is a smart guy. A fantastic orator. But to let Pelosi and her posse run over him with this stimulus package?

what was it mr. rahm hoodie from chicargo emanual said? "never waste a good crisis"? that pretty much validates their strategy.

$2 billion earmark to re-start FutureGen, a near-zero emissions coal power plant in Illinois that the Department of Energy defunded last year because it said the project was inefficient.

• A $246 million tax break for Hollywood movie producers to buy motion picture film.

• $650 million for the digital television converter box coupon program.

• $88 million for the Coast Guard to design a new polar icebreaker (arctic ship).

• $448 million for constructing the Department of Homeland Security headquarters.

• $248 million for furniture at the new Homeland Security headquarters.

• $600 million to buy hybrid vehicles for federal employees.

• $400 million for the Centers for Disease Control to screen and prevent STD's.

• $1.4 billion for rural waste disposal programs.

• $125 million for the Washington sewer system.

• $150 million for Smithsonian museum facilities.

• $1 billion for the 2010 Census, which has a projected cost overrun of $3 billion.

• $75 million for "smoking cessation activities."

• $200 million for public computer centers at community colleges.

• $25 million for tribal alcohol and substance abuse reduction.

• $500 million for flood reduction projects on the Mississippi River.

• $10 million to inspect canals in urban areas.

• $6 billion to turn federal buildings into "green" buildings.

• $650 million for wildland fire management on forest service lands.

• $88 million for renovating the headquarters of the Public Health Service.

• $412 million for CDC buildings and property.

• $500 million for building and repairing National Institutes of Health facilities in Bethesda, Maryland.

• $5.5 million for "energy efficiency initiatives" at the Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery Administration.

• $850 million for Amtrak.

• $100 million for reducing the hazard of lead-based paint.

• $110 million to the Farm Service Agency to upgrade computer systems.

• $200 million in funding for the lease of alternative energy vehicles for use on military installations.

And remember, President-elect Barack Obama warned Capitol Hill lawmakers that he will bar all pork-barrel projects from the massive economic-stimulus package he is asking them to pass.

Oh..I forgot one.

$13.0 more dollars a week in people's pay checks.

This year. Next year it drops to $7.00.

Oblah blah is not letting congress do anything he didn't already want them to. He will just play innocent and dumb to the whole thing, but he is just a fraud.. Like was said at CPAC. If Corporations did what Oblah blah and crew are doing right now,it would be considered a crime and they would be thrown in jail.

You forgot the part where if you don't adjust your taxes to compensate for that whopping $13.00/$7.00 a week (to where you don't take it). The Oblah blah gov't will make you pay it back the following year in a lump sum...
