I was having a conversation with some correctional people the other day and they say they use an electrified shield to handle men in cells who will not cooperate. They say it works real well

You can't shoot a convict barricaded in a cell and despite movies that show prison guards carrying firearms there are no firearms inside a prison. You gotta admire prison guards in super max prisons who have to deal with maniacs who have nothing to loose. It's like trying to subdue a venomous cobra with human intellect. If an AIDS infected convict bites a guard you can imagine the results. Electrified shields seem like the most humane way of taking out a froathing sweating piss covered maniac.
