2016 Candidates already declared... and it's fun!!

So, the Green Papers (G-d bless those guys!) are already keeping track of who has officially declared a candidacy for the 2016 Presidential election:

Currently, 15 "Democratic", 26 "Republican" and a slew of other names.

I guarantee you, these are people we will probably never hear about, except maybe to laugh. A couple are perennial candidates!!

Any candidate for President of the United States reporting a minimum of $200,000 in "Total Receipts" to the Federal Election Commission is hereby defined as a "principal candidate" for the purposes of 'The Green Papers' website. Such "principal candidates" are listed, per each Political Party (or other classification containing more than one Party), in a separate section ahead of other candidates for President of that same Party (or said multi-Party classification).

Go to the link and look at the names.

Two stick out right away, they are absolutely hilarious:

"President Emperor Caesar", of Florida (D)

"Pogo Mochello Allen-Reese", of Texas (R)


I would take the party designations with a grain of salt...

There are more names to have fun with. Pogo Mochello's campaign website is also a total hoot, you really need to check it out.
