Powerlineblog has an essay this morning "Ten Thoughts On Paul Ryan" in which the author asks "How low can the Democrats Go?" and answers his own question with the observation "With the Paul Ryan VP nomination, Romney has provided them with new ammunition to see exactly how low they will go"

Another four years of Obama? Do you actually think Obama will stop at taxing the rich at a 45 per cent rate if he gets his way? No, he won't stop until he reaches Francoise Hollande's ("There's no need for austerity! There's plenty of money out there") 75 per cent rate, and he may not even stop there. He may reach for FDR's 90% rate, a rate FDR could easily ask for since the alternative would have been an eventual trip to the ovens at Auschwitz or similar for the reluctant taxpayer when Hitler won. And there's a distinct possibility Obama may even be considering a wealth tax, say, if you're worth say 5 million dollars, he'll want a quarter or a half of your net worth up front, for the good of the country and social justice. Four years of unbridled Communism if he gets re elected? Good God!
