Congress is trying to manage the Budget by cutting spending. The dems want a "balanced approach" which also include raising taxes and cutting tax loop-holes (except they did neither when they had absolute control?!)

Lets see which side has the better approach by taking a poll on policies

-Bush tax cuts expire.
-Defense cuts.
-Eliminate tax loop holes.
-Go after off-shore tax evaders.
-Repatriate billions in off-shore profits. And not with a tax holiday..

Add in..add a surtax on salaries over 5 million a year..or audit the company. Either that..or allow shareholders to decide on executive compensation.

Well done!

More policies that I would like to see include:
Eliminate derivatives and short-selling (only capital creation allowed)
If the GOP wants a "flat tax" put it on Corporations 15% off the top
High incomes get taxed at a higher rate, especially a Medicare and SS surcharge
Include a transaction tax on Wall Street, long term investments get rewarded and day-trading punished
Outsourcing jobs gets taxed, in-sourcing jobs gets a tax break
