2011, GOP cuts Embassy security by half billion, H. Clinton sez threatens security.

“This is a disturbing example of the Republicans’ meat-ax approach to cutting every aspect of the government, no matter how essential,” said Senate Democratic Policy Committee Chairman Charles Schumer (N.Y.) in a statement to The Hill.

Last year, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned that Republicans’ proposed cuts to her department would be “detrimental to America’s national security” — a charge Republicans rejected.

Ryan, Issa and other House Republicans voted for an amendment in 2009 to cut $1.2 billion from State operations, including funds for 300 more diplomatic security positions. Under Ryan’s budget, non-defense discretionary spending, which includes State Department funding, would be slashed nearly 20 percent in 2014, which would translate to more than $400 million in additional cuts to embassy security.

Protecting Embassies Costs Money

Everything given to this administration has been tainted by Republican first. Was I right? Republicans have caused more damage to the country than al Qaeda? Imagine the damage they could do if they officially worked together? Instead of Republicans wasting so much time saying government can't do anything right and then making sure that happens. Seems like every time Republicans blame something on Democrats, we only have to wait a day to find out it started with Republicans.

Libay happened because armed US security was requested and the Obama-Clinton State Department did not want to give it to them since the host country did not want the US to have armed security. Budget had noting to do with it.

Whoops....

I'm always amazed when the GOP slashes stuff, and then wonders why there wasn't enough money to take care of things that needed handling.

Another idiot.... make cuts to embassies in stable countries. You people are pathetic

Tell me exactly when the senate passed that bill and when did your dear leader Maobama sign it?

You can't because it didn't happen, the feds have been operating on continuing resolutions for 3 freaking years now.

Onece again, facts don't back up your narrative. Your a lousy propagandast, you have to have enough truth to make it believeable, total failure.
Facts never back his lying mouth up.

Hillary yanked Bengazi security team in August of this year.

Nothing to do with funding, as confirmed today in hearings by Lamb and Kennedy.

Spam thread failure.

Because Republicans said so and they are so honest. Especially the men, which is why they wouldn't allow women on a Republican panel on "women's issues". Because men know best. Especially Republicans. Always honest.

^^^^ Which has nothing to do with your OP.^^^^

But when questioned, Lamb denied that budgetary concerns had influenced her decision. committee “It has been suggested that budget cuts are responsible for a lack of security in Benghazi, and I’d like to ask Miss Lamb,” said Representative Dana Rohrabacher (R., Calif.). “You made this decision personally. Was there any budget consideration and lack of budget which lead you not to increase the number of people in the security force there?”

“No, sir,” said Lamb.

Guess that puts the Ops story to bed.

The only embassies we have to worry about are the ones in the ME. Those embassies should have extra security and the Marine guards should have REAL BULLETS and orders to shoot to kill anyone trying to break in.

Just ain't no common sense to be had in the State Department. Idiots.

If there is any good to come out of this pack of lies, it's that the pack of lies has made it into the mainstream news. It got so big that no media agency could ignore it.

We could not afford to have security at the embassy, (and we just lost another person in Yemen) but there was plenty of money to make a video apologizing for our First Amendment by the presidebt and secretary of state.
