2010 Wooly Worm forecast for winter

Just saw a wooly worm out here in west central Indiana and the brown band was wide. This means that (According to Native American legend) the upcoming winter here will be a mild one. It was a warm summer so this may continue through the winter.

North Carolina is not Indiana. Right now they have plenty of water, we have a drought, cannot even make a campfire because it is illegal. So my wooly worm is official for Yountsville.

eastern nc has plenty of water...perhaps a wee bit too much...

western nc however has a water shortage.....we were in a drought but recent rains have broken it somewhat...

I saw a brown wooly crossing the road at least 5 or 6 weeks ago here in NE PA. Isn't that too early for them to be up and about?
