Very close in the House, no more than 2 or 3 seats. Dems retain the Senate with 3. Teabaggers will be judged to have been a detriment to the Republicans.

I went for the longer shot, Republicans take the House winning 50 seats and take the Senate by one...IL, WV, and CA or WA will all break for Republicans along with AR, IN, MO, ND, NV, CO, WI, and PA.

I just don't think 52/48 is enough to carry the incumbents in an election cycle were the enthusiasm gap is so strongly against them.

If they get to 55/45 before election day, their odds increase significantly, but a statistical tie on election day will go to the Republicans IMO.

i just hope its much more balanced.....we have already seen what happens when one side has control....and we are now seen it again with the other side....California is the perfect example of an out of balance electorate....

The statists win as folks continue to reaffirm their belief that their votes count for something.

Pain.

Whatever happens the White House Press secretary the day after will make it sound like a land slide victory for the Left with the people showing their enormous support for the President and his left leaning agenda.

Pubs take the House by no more than ten, the Dems keep the Senate by at least four.*

*This election will be decided because of the economy, just like 2008. If the economy held, McCain would have been elected. If the economy had significantly improved after the initial recession, Dems would increase holds in both chambers. Americans don't care about ideology nearly as much as they do about their money (other than social values conservatives, but we will take their votes). The Tea Party's strength is coming from frustrations over the pocketbook far more than anything to do with the Constitution.

Saying there's no way Democrats can keep control of the House, Ireland's largest bookie on Wednesday said it has already paid off all bettors who wagered the GOP would capture the chamber.

“In our opinion this race is well and truly over with nothing short of a miracle stopping the Republicans taking down the House," said Ken Robertson, communications manager for Paddy Power, the Irish bookmaker.

Mr. Robertson said the odds had tipped so much in Republicans' favor it made no sense to continue taking bets. In July Democrats were favored 8-11 to keep control, but by Wednesday the GOP was favored 1-50, meaning it would take a bet of $50 would win just an addition $1.

So it looks like the House betters are a shoe-in...unless the Republicans take the Senate too.

According to the article, Democrats still have the edge there.
