I am just relieved that the US learned from this tragedy and that it has never happened again.

Since most schools remain gun-free zones -- apparently not.

Survivors of the Columbine High School shooting have been speaking at a remembrance ceremony in Denver to mark the twentieth anniversary of the massacre.

Twelve students and a teacher were murdered by two teenagers.

One former student, Patrick Ireland, who was injured by bullets, said no one from the school or surrounding community had emerged unscathed.

It doesnt seem that long ago. An act of domestic terror without reason.

I couldn’t imagine the horror of the day. That we still allow the conditions to exist that lead to the massacre is a disgrace.

Exactly, gun free zones are insane.....they keep normal, good people from carrying their legal guns with them...which is the reason mass shooters target gun free zones...we know this because the actual mass public shooters state this, over and over again....

In fact the gun nuts do everything they can to make sure those crazy people do have weapons.

They scream about laws that will temporary take weapons from people who have legally been ruled a danger to themselves or someone else. They praise law enforcement officers who proclaim they won't enforce that law. They do everything they can to make sure crazy people get weapons and are able to kill as many people in as short amount of time as possible with those semi automatic weapons.

They don't even want to prevent terrorists from having weapons.

It's totally crazy.

Wrong.....we have all the laws on the books to deal with these guys......the failure comes from your god "Government" who didn't deal with these known threats over and over again...it wasn't law abiding gun owners or gun sellers who failed....the gun owners didn't use their guns to hurt anyone, and the gun sellers followed all of the laws...your god, "Government" failed to do it's job over and over again....
