Hollywood is going nuts on guns......they want them banned, they want limits on everything.....and they mean it.

WATCH: Julianne Moore Has A New Idea For Gun 'Safety'

The problem....they use private security companies with guys with guns to protect themselves, their families and where they work....and they make gazillions of dollars using guns in movies..in ways that encourage thugs and criminals to commit crimes and murders....

So...here are two ideas that I have that will lower the gun crime rate.....

    1) Ban all guns in all movies, and have a mandatory buy back on all movies ever made that show gun use....that includes historical movies, science fiction movies, cop movies, criminal movies...all of them....so at this point....all Star Wars movies from the past will be turned into the government and destroyed...for having guns. This also includes movies like Saving Private Ryan, and any movie, ever made that has guns in them...

This would be a mandatory buy back of all films, and ending current and future production of any movie, television show, music video or video game that has a gun or guns.......since you guys love buy backs...

    2) All private security agencies and firms would no longer be allowed to arm employees with guns...they would have to settle on empty hand restraining techniques.....and cell phones.....to call for the police...just like everybody else.

There...the first gets rid of the influence of guns, the second takes some guns out of the hands of people ....getting them out of society...

And they are valid, because even if they aren't 100% effective, that doesn't mean they won't stop someone from using a gun....

    Right?

    No, simple as that.

It is against the law to murder, so seeing that laws does not prevent murder tell me any other laws are pointless...

Another was to stop gun violence is mandatory abortion. There will be no more gun violence in approximately 100 years.

I say let people by as many guns as they want, as it is their right under the Constitution. Heck even let the mentally ill, felons, and anyone else be able to. However make it extremely hard for people to buy ammunition. There is no law saying they can't do that.

Actually you're almost halfway on the right track here. Halfway in that the relentless cultural celebration is a huge factor in building and preserving Gun Culture. So you have identified one (among many) of those such influences, although it seems to me television is a considerably more ubiquitous one.

But you don't make inroads on anything by banning it. Shunning some practice has to be voluntary. It's not the physical representation of the act that needs to go --- it's the desire that put it there. It has to become something that wouldn't sell. When that happens nobody will be selling it, because there will be no point.

Like we did with cigarette smoking. We didn't "ban" it; we made it uncool.
