Instead, a majority of the stimulus money has gone overseas to wind turbine manufacturers, according to a report from the Investigative Reporting Workshop at American University. The report says that 80% of the stimulus money has created about 6,000 jobs, but only "a couple hundred" have been created in the US. In fact, the American Wind Energy Association states that the US experienced an overall drop in wind manufacturing jobs last year.
