2/3rds of Americans want Scotus to overturn Ocare

whats so wrong with kids staying on there parents health care while in school. or being able to buy ins with preexisting cond. i luv republicans they make me look smart

What's wrong is the definition of the word "child". We will always be our parent's "children" in a certain sense of the world. Keeping adults in a state of dependency long after they should have become adults is harmful. Men and women approaching 30, are not children, they are men and women.

So why are you against it, shyttehead? LOL

Because it's unamerican, unconstitutional, socialist and we can't afford it.

Lol I love how this kid pretends he's an old retired teacher, but uses insults that my classmates were too mature to use in middle school.

Wrong, wrong, wrong, and wrong, brainwashed Pubtroll LOL.
I can see you are clueless from your Talking point reply and your thousand of circle jerk Rep total lol. I'm 61, and just sick of dittohead ignorami like yourself ruining the country for the last 30 years. see sig pp1. Later much.

My talking point reply? All you have are talking points, the sky would fall if you ever said something that wasn't a talking point. Stop projecting.

My rep is average, don't take it out on me that everyone on the board agrees you're an idiot. I get pos reps from Obamabots, the ones with class, the opposite of you.

The party of no would love to see this overturned while offering very little in terms of an alternate plan. They don't care about the country, they just care about ensuring that anything that democrats stand behind is shot down. Party over country, be proud you are true patriots.

Come on RDD, don't let your emotions cloud your intelligence.

Do you REALLY think Obama and the democrats support Obamacare because they're true patriots?

New Poll: The Supreme Court and the Health Care Law - NYTimes.com

More than two-thirds of Americans hope the Supreme Court will overturn some or all of the 2010 health care law, according to a new poll conducted by The New York Times and CBS News. Just 24 percent said they hoped the court “would keep the entire health care law in place.”

The Supreme Court is expected to decide a challenge to the law by the end of this month.

Forty-one percent of those surveyed said the court should strike down the entire law, and another 27 percent said the justices should overturn only the individual mandate, which requires most Americans to obtain health insurance or pay a penalty.

24% like it? What's our USMB population?

It really doesn't matter considering the individual mandate is unconstitutional and the judiciary branch doesn't write/edit legislation ;).

But yes, most people don't trust the govt that can't even run the post office at a profit, nor Amtrak at a profit, to handle our health care responsibly.

Since only 24% want to keep it intact please explain to me how this helps Obama or hurts the GOP. I have seen many on here explain that if overturned it would seriously hurt the GOP. Thing is I bet its only the far left in that 24% and we weren't gonna get their votes anyhow. The only winner in this is Liberty. The only loser in this is Obama and the disgusting congress that voted for it.

I know, I know....my 24 year old daughter wont get a free ride anymore. Oh wait, she already has her own plan.

Here will be the shocker; if it is overturned, you will see insurance premiums skyrocket. I actually pay for my health insurance myself, unlike most people who get it through their employers. In the last two years, I have seen a 4% rate increase each year. These are the lowest increases I have seen over the last fifteen years. I tend to buy into what I can actually see and what actually affects me over the hyperbole and propaganda thrown around the media.

I'm just curious who the people are who are against the mandate. Do you think it is those who don't want to pay for insurance so those of us who do will continue to subsidize them? Or do you think those of us who are subsidizing those who do not have insurance want to continue doing so?

As for any 24 year old getting free insurance, haven't you always told us nothing is free? Of course any child who is on their parents insurance is going to be a paying customer. That might mean a small increase on a family plan, but the insurance companies certainly are not giving it away for nothing. But please, keep telling us they are.

Um, actually based on the reports that are coming out, if ACA PASSES and the current rate of medical spending stays where it is, premiums will skyrocket. If ACA passes and the jobs market drops or even stays where it is, premiums will skyrocket. But, if ACA is overturned our premiums will just continue to go up.

Here will be the shocker; if it is overturned, you will see insurance premiums skyrocket....

That's not shocking in the slightest. Insurance premiums already outpace normal inflation (by two to three times depending on your stats). And not even the most optimistic supporters of PPACA predict that it will reverse the trend. It won't make insurance cheaper.

What it will do is force us to buy a product that is a proven failure. The way we are currently trying to use health insurance is irrational and defunct. The sooner we drop it and find alternative solutions, the better. But this implies change and upheaval that the vested interests in health care want to avoid. They're trying to tell us that the problem isn't their shitty pyramid scam, the problem is those stubborn people who don't want to climb on board their sinking ship.

Well fuck them. For far too long they've manipulated regulation and limited competition to keep us herded into their pens. And the individual mandate is the last straw. If we let them use their influence over government to force us to buy they worthless product, we are truly sheep.

This is why democracy is a two sided sword. Majorities often want the wrong thing, or the thing that affects others but not them. Consider welfare, slavery, separate but equal, civil rights or any number of tough topics. ...

I think you may be on the verge of discovering the true purpose of constitutionally limiting government power. There is hope for you yet!

:clap2:

Romney said he'd make sure it was GONE. But it may be gone or damaged by the SCOTUS before he gets there.

Why would Romney be opposed to RomneyCare?

Because Romney isn't opposed to Romneycare. He is a Federalist.

Romney is less of a federalist and more of a flip flopper having said numerous times that his plan should be a model for the nation.

Romney has flipped on so many of his cherished beliefs that one must always ask one of two questions: Was he for it before he was against it or was he against it before he was for it?
