Actually tying solar power to the production of stuff that's not time critical (like desalinization) is a great idea. But there's no need to complicate the concept by littering the system with "tidal generation" and other gimmicks..

In a sense -- this is what's been proposed for hydrogen generation.. It's energy intensive but could power a large part of the transportation fleet.. Solar powered factories are PERFECT for this use..

Recognizing that the OP is almost four years old, let me just say...

    It's "desalination, desalinization, or desalinisation."

Not "De Saltifacation" for fuck's sake...

Don't worry, there are 49 other States waiting in earnest to pick up the tab. Or 57 if you're Obama.

Don't be a dick. Folks out in California are more enlightened than most of you hicks from fly-over country. You should be honored to pay for their programs.

You didn't catch black Obamney doing anything, but making a white Obamney-joke. White Obamney was Governor of Massachusetts, which was 47th, at creation of new jobs, while white Obamney couldn't remember bashing, while a preppie.

Maybe black Obamney was trying to slack white Obamney's dog-abuse, when black Obamney admitted eating dog-meat. Just sayin'. . .

The environmental k00ks never ask themselves the question, "At what cost?"

Thats why they are known as k00ks.
