1980s Toy Identification Request

pretty much just looking to see if these have a group name. I got them back around 1980 and now my kid runs around with em.

Great fun for outlining football plays.

They look like Ultraman monsters:

I watched the Ultraman shows when I was a kid...

Are they toys or erasers?

That was FAST! They seem to be a little different consistency than an eraser. Harder rubber. I had a plastic toy ring in with them and over a couple decades they seem to have etched it almost like a fishing lure worm can.
