Our path as a nation is destined to fail.

I am waiting for a certain wingnut to post how outsourcing actually creates american jobs.

absolutely. WHY are our leaders intentionally destroying the USA?

Unless we have the courage to do what we need to do to change the course.

I really do not think we have the strength any more to do what needs doing.
We are pretty much controlled thru the media and such by corporate interests and such.
Just drones.

sleeple.

Political parrots, sheeple, fat and lazy, etc
Makes no difference in the long run, if wwe do not do drastic changes we are going down. Many more will be reduced to just existing.
Those in the big cities will be totally up the creek.

or the US will just become another third world nation

Globalization always intended to fully disempower labor and destroy the nation state.

Once we are weakened and downtrodden we will welcome, no beg for, a one world government to rescue us.

This post rocks !!! :clap2:

This is THE problem of the economy.

Now all we need to do is to get people to realize we can DO something about it.

Remember we (the US) is the worlds largest consumer...we're the ones buying things...or were.

All we need to do is to increase taxation on goods manufactured outside the US and we can reverse these awful trends.

and Yes it will hurt some Multinational US companies bottom line....but too bad... If they don't want to do be an American company then get out !

And to do something about it...we need to know who is actually in charge of our trade goods taxation policy....anyone know ?

I think that any company that oursources overseas and reduces jobs here should pay a 25% tarrif on all manufactured goods they import.

remove the profit in moving jobs overseas and it will slow or stop.

Hi! My name is Devil's advocate!

So what if I said that taxing those corps would levy a 25% tax on US customers of goods imported from overseas while doing nothing to effect those corporation's bottom lines?

And what if I then went on to say that Smoot and Hawley would approve of your plan and that Hoover was rolling over and projectile vomiting in his grave?

I reject globalization as a principle. But I don't think tariffs are the best way to enforce it. Impose a 90% corporate tax on firms who export jobs overseas. Or ban their imports.

And 25% wouldn't be enough. Chinese made goods cost 10% as much to manufacture. And delivery to our shores is a pittance.
