15 badass women of World War II you didn't learn about in history class.

Learned more from one day of History Channel than I did in all of my schooling.

Was a badass Russian female pilot as I recall. Compareable to Yeager.

Lydia Vladimirovna Litvyak (Лидия Владимировна Литвяк, (August 18, 1921 in Moscow – August 1, 1943 in Krasnyi Luch[1]), also known as Lydia Litviak or Lilya Litviak, was a fighter pilot in the Soviet Air Force during World War II. With at least 12 solo victories[2][3] and at least four[4] shared kills over a total of 66 combat missions,[5] over about two years of missions, she was the first female fighter pilot to shoot down an enemy plane, the first female fighter pilot to earn the title fighter ace, and the holder of the record for the greatest number of kills by a female fighter pilot. She was shot down near Orel during the Battle of Kursk as she attacked a formation of German planes.

Guano, just because YOU didn't learn anything about history doesn't mean the rest of us were unaware of the contributions women had in winning the war against the german leftist despot.

It's just too bad you can't accept the fact that the russian leftist despot was a far more barbaric killer of his own people. We should have rolled right through Berlin and built a bridge across the Bering Straight to bring our shit home.

Also, Ekaterina Zelenko. Yekaterina Ivanovna Zelenko (September 14, 1916—September 12, 1941) was a Soviet (ethnic Ukrainian) war pilot. She is the only woman ever known to have performed an aerial ramming.
