a majority of Americans really detest paying more in taxes!

- The Environmental Protection Agency awarded a $141,450 grant under the Clean Air Act to fund a Chinese study on swine manure and a $1.2 million grant to the United Nations for clean fuel promotion.
- AMTRAK subsidized by TAX dollars pays $3.40 for each can of soda the U.S. passenger railroad sells on its trains,
But AMTRAK charges $2.00! Is that anyway to run a business... PAYING MORE and collecting LESS.. Recipe for bankruptcy... OH WAIT this is the TAXPAYERs money NEVER MIND!!!

- $520,000 to fix the Stevenson Road Covered Bridge in Green County, Ohio, which was last used in 2003. Again a measly $520K but still doesn't it bug people to send tax money for this?

No. All we need to do is raise taxes on the rich and sing Kumbaya in harmony.

Isn't it just stupid $400 BILLION!
Every year on duplicate services, NO measurements as to how well the programs WORK!!!

Most employees have yearly evaluations that justify their work... BUT government spending on this programs zero.. NADA! ZILCH!
Again any wonder most tax payers aren't excited about increasing tax payments when $400 billion being thrown away by their government???

And yet "they" will argue that spending cuts and eliminating waste isn't enough. It may not be but it sure is a good place to make a serious start. Keyword: serious... which when it comes to cutting...the government is never "serious" about.

If things like that are being funded, it's because Congress passed it.

Or, has Jeff Sessions forgotten that every penny spent is allocated by the very Congress he belongs to?

Information technology can go a long way to tracking down waste. It would help if congress was implementing some programs to hunting down waste instead of hunting down Rice.

No doubt there is alot of waste. But things like this generally sound wasteful but usually wind up being very useful in the long run.
