The Post-9/11 Wars Have Taken Their Toll On The U.S. Military
-- David Frum, National Post

Has the U.S. military been pushed too far?

The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have taken a heavy toll on the U.S. armed forces.

About 6,650 Americans have died in those two wars, as have 1,390 allied personnel, Canadians prominent among them.

My Comment: Yup .... it has been a long 11 years.

And just what do we have for that? Nothing! Iraq is falling into the morass of inter-faction warfare with Iran doing its best to destabilize the government. And, worst of all, we have thousands upon thousands of our men and women living with disabilities. With the current economy and administration policies, what are their possibilities for a rosy future?

by Jonn Lilyea

Deutsche Presse-Agentur reports that Hamid Karzai, the president of Afghanistan has made an offer to trade immunity from Afghan courts to US troops in Afghanistan for a return of sovereignty. On it’s face, the offer sounds reasonable. Well, until you look at what he calls “sovereignty”; Karzai said his key demands were that the US handover
