If you have money, you get in no problem.

If not, the door is pretty much closed because otherwise 2 billion poor people would pour into the US. Is that what you want?

It takes years and thousands of dollars before they even know if they have a chance of immigrating legally. Many make that investment of time and money for nothing.

The first thing is the wait. It can take up to two years to become a citizen through lawful channels. The second thing involves qualifications. In order to become a lawful citizen each applicant (1) must prove he/she has a basic understanding of the English language (there are exceptions such as for the elderly); (2) must show he/she is either self-supporting or has a sponsor (this keeps applicants from being a financial burden to society); and (3) must be of good character.

Many of those entering this country illegally speak no English and/or have no means of support. Others have criminal records, including violent felonies. No matter how long they waited they would never become citizens through lawful channels.

(A) Headline is not correct. They were already in the U.S., and were on the truck to move from one U.S. city (Laredo) to San Antone.

(B) From what I'm reading, that truck driver was an innocent dupe. He is a nice guy, just doing the job he was paid to do - move a trailer from one place to another. Maybe he should have been suspicious due to the weight in the trailer (he said he thought it was empty), but that is a hard sell. He will be exonerated.

(C) "Getting into the U.S. if you have enough money" (i.e. EB5 Visa program) is basically a dead item. People in Mexico (and south) who want to come to the U.S. legally have to get on a waiting list, and be prepared and able to spend some time and money going through the process. 5 years minimum.

(D) If the "eleven million" (a wholly fictitious number that understates the total by at least 100%) are ever legalized, no "Wall" will be high enough to stop the tidal wave of unfortunates who will seek to cross our southern border in the immediate aftermath of that policy change.

So you think they would rather take a chance on them and their children dying while sneaking in instead of going to the trouble of learning English? That's just nuts. You also imply that everyone sneaking in are bad people that have criminal records including violence, and have bad character. Again, that's nuts. Admit it. You just hate Mexicans.

So we should just let them in. Right?

Coyote's not only bring illegals into the US and they also bring in hard drugs. ICE said yesterday they are coming in full force after sanctuary cites.

It takes too much time....and Democrats need votes now.
You can certainly tell by the last elections how accurate that statement is...
Doesn't even have to be a presidential election. Some CA cities have elected non-citizens to city council.

Certainly not...but what are the costs associated with coming here from Mexico?
