Media Matters for America

The black panthers not BP the oil co.

They decided no criminal case was winnable and they filed a civil suit which was later won as an injunction of one of the men.

Yes, Bush dropped the charges against the Black Panthers. Obama hadn't been inaugurated yet, and Holder was not Atty. General.

You should thank me for this, though I know you won't. It would be hard for you to admit that anyone is honest because you have a prblem with that yourself.

Wrong you really need to stop listening to Media matters dude

John Fund: Black Panther Voter Intimidation Case Dropped - WSJ.com

In the first week of January, the Justice Department filed a civil lawsuit against the New Black Panther Party and three of its members, saying they violated the 1965 Voting Rights Act by scaring voters with the weapon, uniforms and racial slurs. In March, Mr. Bull submitted an affidavit at Justice's request to support its lawsuit.

Exclusive: Race Was Reason Holder Dropped Black Panther Case | The FOX Nation

The case was not even brought up until the first week of January

In the final days of the Bush administration, three Black Panthers -- Minister King Samir Shabazz, Malik Zulu Shabazz and Jerry Jackson -- were charged in a civil complaint with violating the Voter Rights Act in November 2008 by using coercion, threats and intimidation at a Philadelphia polling station -- with Shabazz brandishing what prosecutors called a deadly weapon.

The Obama administration won the civil case in federal court in April 2009 but moved to dismiss the charges in May 2009. Justice attorneys said a criminal complaint, which resulted in the injunction, proceeded successfully.

The case was brought in the first week of January 2009
Obama admin won Default judgment in April 2009
Then dismissed the charges in May 2009. After winning the case (why?)

Ill give you the benefit of the doubt and not call you a liar, but you really should do some better research before you make wild claims that are completely untrue.

TM is a she? Well she is certainly gullible Falling for this one.

Pretty gullible believing people are making all this noise and Obama and Holder had nothing to do with it. Please does she really think she, and Media matters would be the only ones to catch it?

I am guessing TM is frantically searching Left Wing sites for a way to counter the complete smack down I just gave her. Took 2 mins of searching to find the actual dates. I am starting to think I was to nice in my first response :)

We don't even know WTF you're talking about yet....got a link...?

It can't be this...

FOXNews.com - Charges Against 'New Black Panthers' Dropped by Obama Justice Dept.
The charges stemmed from an incident at a Philadelphia polling place on Election Day 2008 when three members of the party were accused of trying to threaten voters and block poll and campaign workers by the threat of force -- one even brandishing what prosecutors call a deadly weapon.

The Obama administration won the case last month, but moved to dismiss the charges on May 15, 2009
