Now take those number and compare them to civilians of the same age. I'm going to guess that the life of a civilian woman is more hazzardous than one of a woman in the military. I don't want it to seem as though I am saying it doesn't happen in the military, but the post from the OP(the report/study, not the actual poster) is soooo anti-military, it raised my hackles.

I know, a book was written off the first study that compiled records of women in US service going back to the early 80s (when they first started to expand the role of women), a lot of it was unfavorable, as much of the training had to be scaled back as many women could not physically do it.

One of the more better known cases was the Navy changing the requirement the sailors be able to carry 180 lbs up four decks (the weight of an average sailor at the time with equipment) was reduced to 140 so women could qualify for shipboard duty. This may seem a small change but the orignal number was based on damage control procedure during WWII.

All the military academies lowered the physical standards and it was also seen in the Army's Basic training as well as regular PT requirments.

After nearly 30 years though, no adverse combat effect has been noted from any of it.
